Interested to see what teams have available for trade this season(or at least what their fans think) from both the perspective of buying and the idea of selling this season.

From a Kitchener Rangers fans point of view. Don't judge too hard.

Buying for this year available assets:
Eric Guest C 2000
Luke Richardson G 1999
Cole Carter Winger 1998
Nick McHugh LW 1999
Grayson Ladd RD 2001 1st Rounder (been suggested before, don't see this happening, would have to be a 2 year player coming back)
Improvements on Henderson and D. (Blaisdell/Burns)
Assortment of picks, have some extra 2nds.

Selling this year:
Adam Mascherin LW 1998
Connor Hall LD 1998
Logan Stanley LD 1998 (doubt they would do this, but if for some reason they are WAY out of it)
Opilka G OA

Would love to see this information from the other teams

With the Knights, I do not see this projection as being their usual practice. Typically, they use their camp, and pre-season games to establish their "keepers" vs tradeable assets. Sometimes, they take even longer, and let the players earn or lose their roster spots. Unless they go into camp with a specific hole they need filled, or an opportunity to add a significant upgrade presents itself, they work with what they have, and there's usually a very healthy and robust competition for any openings.

Probably more than most teams, they're hit with early player graduations, so they have players eager & willing to step up and fill in those voids. When injuries or suspensions happen, it's those players they've assigned to Jr. B affiliates who get that call-up to show if and how well they've progressed in their development.

By the Christmas break, staff generally have a good idea as to which players not occupying a roster spot are part of their future plans, and which ones they'll make available for trades. They scout opposition players, as well as their own....always with the objective of improving the team.

If they do have an "official depth chart" I'm sure that's kept as confidential so as to not discourage players as they strive toward personal improvement.

Attack are in a bit of an interesting scenario can't see any them playing big on the selling point with the core of the team returning, although I can't see the team sitting back and not bringing a key piece or two on top of what is coming back.

If the right type of player is on the trade talk table and the price is good however could see DeGray making a move or two before season gets going but a lot of factors still up in air right now

Joe Raaymakers , the Soo's number 1 goalie last year has asked to be traded and will not be reporting for training camp. What is the market like in other cities for a starting goalie who posted a 1.95 average during last years playoffs and went 25-8 through the season ?

Owen Sound will likely not be in the bidding war for Raaymakers after just signing Guzda to a Standard Player Agreement card so Raaymakers won't likely be in Owen Sound's plans and Dale had traded for Bowman from the Wolves so the Attack won't be in the mix for Raaymakers

Erie players available

Likely moved:
Murdaca
Raddysh
Sambrook

Strong or good chance to be moved
Lodnia
Headrick or Fergus (OAs)

Outside shot to be moved
Maksimovich

No doubt erie stands the most to gain this year as sellers. Similar to Oshawa last year with VS and Cirelli.
Raddysh will be the biggest name on the market. And likely demand a 2001 forward.
Sambrook is a nice offensive defender to add that any team making a run would look at.
And Lodnia has rumors of going on the move and with 2 years left in the O erie is at least getting a 2000 born player.

Headrick and Murdaca are decent pieces that could very well be nice adds for many teams

Once Dman Jalen Schmerk arrives from Arizona's camp, I believe Flint will have "5" OA's.

With Kitchener maybe looking to contend this year, and with all the ?'s they have a net, maybe they will be interested in the Soo goalie.

Once again, we will be missing Opilka for a portion of the season. There are no guarantees which Opilka we will get once he returns to the lineup. That, along with Richardson and McGonigle being unproven, makes the Kitchener a possible landing spot for Raaymakers.

Sellers

1998 - Michael Mcleod F
1997 - Nathan Bastian OA F
1997 - Jacob Cascagnette OA F
1997 - Trent Fox OA F
1998 - Albert Michnac F (Import)
1998 - Brendan Harrogate F
1998 - Shaw Boomhowwer F
1999 - Owen Tippett (only if you think he's in the NHL next year)

1998 - Austin Osmanski D
1998 - Nicholas Hague D (AHL eligible next year)
1998 - Jacob Moverare D (Import) (AHL eligible next year)
1997 - Stephen Gibson OA D

A lot of this depends on Mcleod, Bastian and Tippett coming back to the OHL. If they're all back, they'll be buyers. If 2 of the 3 are back they'll be buyers. If only 1 comes back they might be sellers.

They don't have too much to offer selling teams when buying. Will probably have to part ways with 2017 first rounder Thomas Harley if they want a decent player in return.

If they become sellers (if players stick in NHL or AHL), they can have great returns for some of their players. (Hague, Moverare, Harrogate, Boomhoweer, Fox, Cascagnette, Osmanski, 1 of Bastian, Mcleod or Tippett)
