It looks like he's going to have a bigger role on the team so what are your expectations for him this season? I'm thinking he scores 25 goals with great defensive play and falls just short of 50 points

25 goals 30 assists for around 55 to 60 points IF he plays top 6 minutes all season long

Any chance we see a Lehkonen-Galchenyuk-Drouin line this year?
Would be great as Lehkonen is good in defense.
That is a line I've been thinking of since the Drouin trade. Put these three together with the other top line being Patches Danault and Gallagher. Pleks Bryon with Shaw/Hemsky as the third line
This allows to have Danault in defense.
I think he'll end up playing rw most of the year.
RW is Drouin then Gallagher.
LW is Pacioretty then Lehkonen.

Center is Galchenyuk, then Danault/Plekanec.

3rd line center will play with Byron/Shaw/Hemsky. If Plekanec bouces back to 40 points, that line could have three players with an average of 40 points.

NYR had 6 players with 40 points and their 9th forward had 27 points.
Pens had 5 players with 40 points and their 9th forward had 29 points.
Caps had 6 players with 40+ points but with Williams and Johansson gone, they now have 4.

I would have preferred that we kept Radulov but it is not the end of the world.
We need our youth to progress and be healthy when PO starts.

pretty sure with our thin lineup, he'll have all the ice-time in the world to prove himself. We need him to succeed.

2-2 4pts against the Rangers when we were starved for goals (2nd behind Radulov's 7 points)

He really started lighting it up near the end of the season next year, I hope he carries that momentum into this season!

Assuming he plays with Galchenyuk and Drouin, I see 25 goals and close to 50 pts from Lehkonen next season

Most complete player on the roster. Plays in all 3 zones effectively. Habs stole one in the 2nd round

I think he's going to score 25-30 goals this season and put up 45 points or so. He's one of the only things I'm positive about heading into this season.

It has nothing to do with that. In fact, some of the more recent teams who won Cups in Pittsburgh and Chicago are actually shorter in average height and lighter in average weight compared to Habs. As are some other teams who have had a certain degree of success recently (I think Tampa and Columbus are smaller and lighter than Habs, as well). And Habs have a few smaller guys who play big like Gallagher, Lehkonen, and Byron.

Lehkonen is not really small. He is 5'10. He is tiny but it's because he is young. If he becomes a 25-50 players his size wont be an issue at all.

Lehkonen is actually listed as 6' on NHL.com and 5'11 on Eliteprospects

He looks more like a 5'10 player though. Maybe it's because he is tiny. Anyway doesn't matter he's definitely not under 5'10. At this size if you got skills it's not a problem at all.

Lehkonen doesn't look small on the ice, pretty sure he's 5'11 at least.

Edit : in hockey measurements, as players are often 2 inches smaller in real life.

Drouin - Galchenyuk - Lehkonen

is going to be one heck of a line for us to start the season. Good things brewing from this group.

Just bought my Lehkonen jersey today ; i'm really excited to see this guy take off this year

I'm debating buying one, I would have got a white one as I don't have one yet but Tricolore sold out of larges. He's one player that to be was the bright part of last season as we hadn't had rookie who could be effective since 2013 with Galchenyuk and Gallagher.

I think he will have a 40 point season with at least 20 goals. Him and Drouin will help lessen the loss of Radulov, although center is still very much a position of need.
