Both make $6 million.. Saad under contract for 4 more years, Panarin for 2 years.

    Per Ian McLaren.

    Another Shocker.

I have to say Panarin really compliments our roster more than Saad who was a little more redundant.

    Wow.

I'm not sure I really think Panarin is a whole lot better of a fit than Saad for Columbus.

Guess the Saad/Tortorella rift was bigger than the team let on.

    I agree

Panarin isn't going to be playing with P Kane here

I don't think Tortorella ever liked Saad.....I think Torts has a TON of say in the trades the Jackets are making

    I hate this one.....hate it

Well its interesting if nothing else? Hope Panarin can put up 70+ points without Kane on his line.

Saad always left me wanting more, so I think the CBJ come out on top.

But wow! That was unexpected. Apparently thats Jarmo's m.o.

I'm thinking you're right on the money.

The big question is Panarin w/o Kane/Toews et al any better than Saad without them?

Chicago wins. Panarin leaves in 2 years. Hopefully Motte is good.

That being said, I'm buying a Panarin jersey today.

This was my first thought too.

I like Saad But I hope I'm gonna like Panarin, too. Too bad they couldn't have worked out bringing Murphy home as part of this deal.

Pairing him with Wennberg and Atkinson...who do you guard first? I think this might mean Wennberg will start shooting even more with open space.

I don't think we had anyone with "Game Breaking Offensive Talent"

Now we do. Whether it fits... ?

My issue is.. we had Saad locked up for 4 more years.. Panarin only has 2 more years left on his deal.

Of course I'm thinking worst case scenario and he doesn't want to resign here.. LOL
