I thought terms like Eastern Conference Quarter Final went away in the newer playoff format? The main playoffs forum uses them in the thread titles. ECQF and WCQF. I thought they had all changed to Central Division Semi Final, etc?

That's correct but I think after the first year or two of the format they just changed it to the first round and second round. That's the way the NHL website refers to it as of now.
