I'd love to get a shot at JT.
Would make this team really, really hard to deal with.

It would be boring until we also sign Kane.

Deal Stone, buyout Brouwer, sign JT and Kane.

Kane - Tavares - Monahan
Tkachuk - Bennett - Gaudreau

Oh baby.
Trade Brodie too for draft picks. Sign the Real Deal.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Neal
Tkachuk - Tavares - Kane
Bennett - Backlund - Frolik
Mangiapane - Jank - Ferland

I don't care about defense or the cap.

Now there's an offence. Even if it just ends up being Neal that top line could win you games on their own. Kovalchuk would be a good option there too. The high end of FA could be very good this year. Hopefully Treliving is aggressive.

I hope OV gets his cup this year. Just an incredible mass of raw physical talent. Either him or Vegas.

Tampa has looked like total crap so far.

Tavares / Monahan would be the most boring 1-2 punch at centre in the entire hockey universe.

Watching the Minister of Defence accept the Clarence S Campbell Bowl was some kind of satisfying.

Yeah the Flames are doing it all wrong. The Stanley Cup finalist has Luca Sbisa and Derek Engelland and we thought we need to get Travis Hamonic? WTF!!!

Vegas has just had this team of destiny thing going on. Seems so so so long ago now but I can recall the 2003-04 Flames had a similar feeling. For them and most other teams that come out of nowhere to make a finals run, that kind of momentum would usually begin in the playoffs.

The Golden Knights have been doing it since their inaugural game. They won the division. McPhee and Gallant have put a team together bursting with young and cheap fast depth. Find it absolutely hilarious that teams like Edmonton and Toronto who have sucked and have drafted high for years are seeing an expansion team beat them to the punch without being gifted some can't miss superstar draft pick.

People can bitch about the expansion rules all they want but at the end of the day this is a group of players their teams didn't want.

Okay, free agency is going to be awful this year.

Treliving's going to be in tough to fix the team for next season. Wouldn't be surprised if they're simply forced to rely on Peters getting more out of the roster offensively.

It's not the $7 million that makes this contract bad, it's the 7 years. We know that the Sharks will be regretting this within 36 months. Kane will be in the headlines again for (allegedly) doing something to another woman, or he'll get into it with another teammate. Hell, probably both.
