Any Thoughts On the NHL 18 Soundtrack?

Personally, I'm ****ing loving it! I'd be pret-ty bored the day I get tired of it.

Usually, EA Canada's soundtracks are not that strong, but this time, they really were the bomb!

It's the best it's been in many years, imo.

It doesn't have a song that I'm absolutely in love with, but it also doesn't have single song that I hate. The last time that happened was with NHL 2003 and 2004.

It sure blows NHL 15 and 16 out of the water. If I have to listen to the NHL theme on loop again I think I’m going to boycott EA for life. All hyperbole aside I do like NHL 18’s soundtrack even though it’s music I don’t listen too. Good mix.

To me it seems to repeat the same songs over and over again, like usual. It is better overall than in recent years, but not a lot of great songs either.

I miss when it was like Classified and The Black Keys. Now it's a bunch of nobodies I've never heard of singing soft pop and indie. Not really sports music at all...

Anyways, I have spotify for a reason. Have a nice NHL playlist see up.

There's some good songs.

However, if I am in the menu's for an extended amount of time (say, Franchise) I tend to put my own music on.

I can only listen to the same shallow soundtrack so many times

To be honest i havent noticed it.... thats actually a huge compliment. Everything on the ps4 sound track was so bad day one or two i hated it and would start muting the game until i was on ice and then muting it again the second i was off ice. This year i havent done that yet.

Much better than last years for my money. Hadn't heard Mutemath since 2009, feels like they've changed quite a bit.

Not a fan of this year's or last year's. Been a while since NHL had a soundtrack I liked. Then again, I'm in my early 30s, so I'm probably not in their target demographic anymore.

Yeah I remember when I heard Black Keys' Just Got To Be on I think it was '08 '09 maybe later it got me listening to their music a whole lot more.

Absolutely horrible. I can't believe people can actually listen to these and be like "yeah, that's a song I wanna hear in a 7 song looping playlist for the next year!"

They should honestly let the cover athlete pick the music for the year. Would be cool to see/hear and we would get a different variety from season to season... This soft-indie-pop-rock stuff is just terrible

Since the 90's EA's NHLs. First thing I do with new NHL is turn off the music. Horrible choices year after year

This kicks there ass anyday. Expecially if you played those games

I just played a drop in game and someone asked about this, and they all said it sucked. The funny thing is, we all had different songs we hated.

It's probably one of the better ones over the past few years. I get that it's not for everyone though.
