Pietrangelo, Stamkos, and Tavares will all get invites(yes i know Tavares is not eligible until 09, but they care currently trying to get him to be eligible for the 08 draft). Drew Doughty will be on the team.

Jordan Schroeder is '09 draft eligible and I think he's got a pretty good shot at making the US team.

Filatov is 50/50. He's too young.

If I'm not mistaken, Belarus relegated last year.

It is probably fair to say that the Super Series roster (3G 8D 15F) is what Hockey Canada currently considers to be their core of players to select from for the 08 WJ team. Of course, there is plenty of room for guys to have strong first halfs next season to earn invites to the December camp and get on the team, but one has to assume that the Super Series roster is the primary list right now.

Based on that, 08 eligibles that are being seriously considered are Doughty, Schenn and Boychuk. Interesting to note that all three of them are late 89s, and the only 90 on the team is Tavares.

  12. i'm sure Yann Sauvé will be there.
