According to Russianprospects.com, Anton Belov has opted out of the 2004 draft.

Damn, I was looking forward to seeing where he'd go. Big defenseman, great skater... I guess the positive thing is that his game will mature and so will he physically. He's still quite lanky at 6'3, 190 lbs.

Probably a smart decision. He had a poor year and would have likely been a 3rd round pick at best. If he has a good year and fills out he could be a much higher pick next year, maybe 1st round.

I think he has the tools to definately be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round pick.

I was very impressed with him when the Russian Selects came over to play the CHL squads.

What's his style? Is He more offensive or defensive?
