I don't remember the Ashton one. Was that a fight? I do remember the Kypreos one though. That was bad. It was also a fight. I'm sure Vanderbusche didn't intend to injure Kyper like that but it wasn't accidental either.

Going way back, I also remember Borje Salming getting stepped on the face in a hockey scrum in front of Leafs net. Definitely accidental, but an ugly incident.

Thank god he was considered 'unavailable for trade' at the deadline. Not sure what we would have done with a couple of decent picks and a bad contract off the books.

Sign an aging winger and try to make him a center.

It's all resting on the arm of Pointe-Saint Charles fighter. His life turned into a real nightmare with all the pains lefting behind by these celebral commotions. He's expecting his first child with his wife. In his place, hanging up with his skates. Your health above all.

Or the 2 2nds. Hard to watch Debrincat and Girard succeed while we got Shaw.

I dunno If Timmins and Mb would had selected DeBrincat... But It was loud and clear that Timmins would had selected Girard. They liked Bitten a lot, and would had taken him too in the 2nd round. With Girard on board, good chances that Mete is not selected by the Habs: another pint size d-man.

Just their second, 2nd rounder should had been enough to get Shaw.

Fair enough about Debrincat, but that 2nd round had tons of great prospects available.

Absolutely hate to see anyone get injured, especially one of the Habs...but when this happens to a player, who has to play this way, and can no longer do what got him here, so to speak...he will have to be on LTIR.

Just an awful and stupid trade.....Shaw was damaged goods and it was known prior to the deal. If....we would have had a management that would be up to date. In that article, it says that his season is done, that it was a knee injury that sideline him and it wasn't even great to begin with prior to that Pateryn hit. Seems that this hit just finished him off. That injury started January 13th against Boston. Remains to be seen if he won't have to be operated for this. Went to TO to see a specialist about that.

Oh and they all insist to say that he didn't have a concussion against Dallas...yeah right....

I heard on TSN690 that he will undergo surgery. But still no official word from Habs.

But .. Shawzy has 2 Cups and most importantly Character and that is more important that anything :)

If we manage to trade Shaw or Alzner it would be awesome lol
Maybe Chi wants him back since we keep hearing they miss him so bad

Wouldn't say no to trading Shaw. But he was having a good season before he got hurt the first time. He was on pace for 39 or 40 points. I've been a fan of his acquisition and feel he was the Shaw that came as advertised ever since CJ came on board.

Surely since Andrew Shaw can play center, has a better than .500 on the draw and is good defensively, then why hasn’t management played him consistently as a No. 3 centerman at the very least?

Danault & Plekanec are ahead of him in that 2/3 slot & they insist on playing Drouin at center.

Shaw should've been our 3rd line center over Plekanec with Plekanec moving to the 4th line, but this team is f***ing awful when it comes to player usage.

I think if Shaw does come back they should play him at center full time & get him off the wall.

Danault, Shaw & DLR as 2, 3, 4 next year.
