Andreas Johansson

[Eye of Ra]

Do any of you guys remember him? He played for this team for 2 seasons.

For the last couple of years he has been coaching in SHL and also been a commentator. He seems like a cool dude but i never saw him play.

What type of player was he? Was he any good?

just asking out of curiosity.

I thought he was pretty good honestly. If I remember correctly he was mainly our number 2 center.

On NHL 05 I could play online games and never lose a faceoff between him and Greg Johnson on the top 2.

He was a decent player on some not so great teams. He was on our first playoff team in his last year in the NHL. Like a lot of early Preds he probably wouldn't have seen the NHL but for the fact that there were 4 expansion teams in 3 years which diluted the talent pool a lot.

he actually performed for us though. was a decent player and missed some games. but i remember him being a contributor to our early limited success. that was forever ago!

Yeah he was a decent number two for an expansion team, I think he was on the '04 squad that made the playoffs. In today's NHL with teams running three scoring lines, and on an established team he would be an incredible 3rd line center. Good skater and workable scoring skills, especially given the supporting cast that we had back then.

I think he played LW, not center most of the time.

But yes, he was a solid player and nice overall dude.
