The NTDP U18 team (2000 group) is losing four players. Forward Blade Jenkins is headed to the OHL, and d-man Will MacKinnon, and goalies Keegan Karki and Ryan Ullan are headed to USHL clubs.

No real losses here to be honest outside of possibly Karki, but goalies Drew DeRidder (Cedar Rapids and YOG Gold Medalist) and Jon Mor are joining the NTDP. DeRidder should have been on this team from the beginning.

Jenkins had a really tough year stats-wise. What's up with him? Is this another Luke Kirwan type of situation?

I am sure the Canadiens don't like Americans coming up there and taking their kids spot on a team and vice versa. The chirping in a rink is part of the game.

Weird that Karki left considering the amount of games he was getting. I assume the others left due to playing time issues. Still in the dark about why Adam Samuelsson missed so many games though I'm assuming he had an injury of sorts.

Hey guys quick question, how good of a player is Reggie Millette? I saw he was drafted both in the USHL and NAHL.

I know how good the T1EBHL league is, but what is the HPHL and how good is this league??!!! I thought all the top American commits played in Tier 1 Major Bantam before going off to the USHL, NAHL, and CHL?

Q for all you prospect experts ...

I have seen quite a few kids come from California in this draft. Since when did it become a breeding ground for talent? Not being sarcastic, just asking.

Really started with roller hockey in the late 80's - early 90's.

Then Gretzky to Kings.

Finally, all the NHL players had kids, started helping in community, teaching the kids, etc. and there's PLENTY of $$$ out in California for travel, ice, etc.

St Louis is a GREAT example of this.....started with Cavellini brothers, Macinnis 96's, Tkachuk 97's and 99's, Brown 98's, all coached Jr Blues and look what they have turned out in the last 4 yrs.

Patrick Maroon. Born in StL.

During the summer of 2010, Maroon led the United States men's national inline hockey team to a gold medal performance at the 2010 IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship.[1] He scored seven goals and 14 points in six games at the in-line worlds including a goal and an assist in the gold medal game in Karlstad, Sweden, against the Czech Republic.[2]

Best US prospects for the 2018 draft? Any fallers/risers to keep an extra eye on after the summer? Thanks.

I don't know how this team works, or if it's not the best team possible, but where is Wahlstrom & Wise?

They don't send NTDPers to this tournament unless they missed a lot of time during the U17 season (why Adam Samuelsson is there) or they were just added to the NTDP for the U18 season (like Gavin Hain). USAH treats the Hlinka as a tournament to evaluate non-NTDPers and improve depth.

That explains a lot, thanks!

A different approach from the Swedes who always sends the best they have in every tourney.
