Well, let's get the show under way. Won't be around tomorrow; so, I have to make my selection now. I'm going to go off the beaten path and choose Jeff Shantz at #1.

And now for something completely different, I will actually choose Gordie Howe at #1 and completely disregard the soft Great One.

Sorry, guys. Too busy right now to participate. If you need a pinch hitter for when someone doesn't show though, give me a hollar.

The Durham Wasps are proud to select centre Jean Beliveau. I'll PM John Flyers Fan to let him know he's up.

The :flyers would like to announce that they have made a trade at this time.

The Flyers have traded their first round selection (7) and their second round pick (20) to the Detroit Red Wings. In return the Flyers receive the (11th and 16th picks).

The :wings are now on the clock.

I wasn't expecting Richard to still be available, but Detroit will stick to the game plan and take goaltender Patrick Roy.

The Red Army Select with their First Pick in the Draft, Mr. Maurice "The Rocke" Richard. We feel his attitude, and skill is something that will be a benifit to our club for many years.

In 18 years Maurice Richard scored 965 points in 978 Games, along with 544 goals.
