This is the Teams of Most Underrated Players of their Respective Half Decade, Dating Back to 1950-1955.
The Requirements for this is to Not Lead the League in Scoring, Not win a Hart (with one exception in the first of these teams), and Not be in the Hockey Hall of Fame. This goes up until 2000-2005 (2004), because any further and players have not been retired long enough to be considered if he is a HHOFer or not.
1950-1955:
C - Don Raleigh (Finished Top 5 in Byng Voting 3 times)
LW - Sid Smith (All-Star Team 3 Times, Lady Byng Twice)
RW - Tod Sloan (200 Points in the 5 Year span. 2nd to Beliveau in Hart Voting in 1956. C/RW ikr)
D - Jimmy Thomson (2 Time 2nd All Star Team. 4th in Skater Point Shares in 1951)
D - Bob Goldham (Top Defenseman on a Dynasty Detroit Red Wings Squad.)
G - Al Rollins (My one Hart Exception. Pre-Awful Hart season, He was one of the best Goalies in the NHL and won the Vezina in 1951.)
1955-1960:
C - Tod Sloan (Swapped from Right Wing. See Above)
LW - Dean Prentice (1 Time All Star Team. Top 5 in Byng Voting in 1958)
RW - Ed Litzenburger (6th in Hart Voting in 1957. 5th in Scoring in 1959.)
D - Dollard St. Laurent (Top 2/4 Defenseman in first 3 Years of the Habs 5-Peat.)
D - Carl Brewer (Two very good, very underrated seasons. Setting him up for later.)
G - Ed Chadwick (Two full, very good seasons.)
1960-1965:
C - Don McKenney (Better in the 1955-1960 Strech. Still very good in the 1960-1965 stretch)
LW - Gilles Tremblay (Very solid player on the Early 60s Habs.)
RW - Claude Provost (Tandeming with J.C Tremblay, Most Underrated Duo UNITE)
D - Carl Brewer (Superstar in Defenseman terms.)
D - J.C Tremblay (Most Underrated Duo UNITE)
G - Eddie Johnston (Only consistent Starter in those 5 years not in the Hall of Fame)
1965-1970
C - Phil Goyette (Top 10 in Hart Voting twice in those 5 Years)
LW - Don Marshall (1 Time All Star Team, Very Good.)
RW - Claude Provost (Most Underrated Duo UNITE)
D - J.C Tremblay (Most Underrated Duo UNITE)
D - Doug Mohns (High Octane Offensive Defenseman)
G - Roger Crozier (A good Non-HHOF Goalie for once!)

Doing this two at a time. Updating this later. Taking Suggestions.

I would assume that players whose careers were cut short would have a good shot at this team unless a minimum number of seasons were required.

The only one of all the above that isn't an all-time draft regular (on the ATD subboard here at History Board) is the last one, Chadwick.

Again, every one is an all-time draft (ATD) regular.

The upshot? BlueBull, how about you join the ATD 2019 next January? Looks like you'd feel right at home.

I was going to do it in 2018, but I went on a hiatus beforehand for like 3 weeks and missed just about the entire draft.
They might be Known by the HOH community, but they are mostly not known by people outside the HOH community. Most HOH members know, like, half the players who played a consistent role in the NHL.

All of the goalies here are undrafted. The Undrafted ATD 2018 Skaters are Don Raleigh and Dollard St. Laurent.
The Highest any of these guys were drafted was J.C Tremblay at 111.

I'd probably insert Fleming Mackell in one of the two 50ies lineup, at C.

Underrated can mean many things, but restricting it to players who would never be remotely considered for the Hall, I would nominate:
Cesare Maniago, Rod Seiling and Red Berenson for 70-75.
Phil Russell, Jim Schoenfeld and Terry O'Reilly for 75-80

Bernie Nicholls.

Drafted in the 4th round, finishes with 1200 points in 1100 games.

He is one of only 8 players in NHL history to score 70 goals in one season, and one of 5 to score 150 points.

Despite being a Hall of Famer, I'd have to go with Michel Goulet here.

Tom Barasso is another one. Brodeur is a lock, and I hold the belief he's the best eligible goaltender not in the Hall.

I'd put Andre Lacroix on here as well.

Ron Francis was always considered under rated back in the day. Guess playing in the shadow of Lemieux didn't help him.
