I was watching some old footage of him and what a player he was. Sad about his death.

Yeah. I was hoping to have an all-Flyer Vezina goalie duo. Oh well.

Vancouver selects RW Punch Broadbent. Rough and tough and a deadly scorer in his time.

The Boston Bruins select Rob Ramage with their next pick. Solid defenseman with good offensive ability and more than his fair share of toughness. Being an ex-Blue and ex-Rockie certainly doesn't hurt either.

I think he's a decent pick, but man have you ever looked at his +/-? He's a career -171. He was only a + in 3 of his 15 years. I know he played on some bad teams, but ouch.

Dream team Defence wins Champioships

now if only there was a game where we could drop all these players into a program and see what they would do against each other.

Nope, I don't bother with stats much, especially +/-. Doesn't surprise me though; not only did he play on a lot of bad teams, he played with a lot of bad players too. Always thought he was a heck of a defenseman in spite of that.

Detroit:
Orr -Pilote
Vasiliev - Lapointe
Konstantinov - Suter

LA:
Shore - Pronger
Leetch - Niedermayer
Foote - ?TBD?

I think I'd take Detroit.
