While I would've ranked the Montreal goal higher than 5 personally, it's absolutely insane that he's had so many highlight reel goals that it can be left up for debate. Even more amazing was that the Honorary Goals lasted forever . Can't wait for what he has in store for the next update.

The highlights are old but the song (The Beast) describes him perfectly. My favourite Ovi season was 2009-2010. He was an absolute monster physically and stats wise. He was laying out gigantic hits before he got suspended.

Yeah, that's my fave youtube of him too.

But I'd love to see someone do his recent hits plus the aftermath. They are still so punishing but he's more strategic about it now.

Wow, he played a completely different style back then. Two-way center with a tendency to pass rather than shooting. His skating technique was already way beyond his peers'.

Really cool videos. IIRC, Ovie didn't even begin to skate until he was 7 years old. That's pretty remarkable that he could skate so well at age 10.

Eight! And it could have been even later hadn't Ovechkin's dad asked his neighbor, a former world champion, in a casual conversation, when does his year start practicing.

NHL included 'The Goal' scored by Ovechkin againt Coyotes in 2006 included as NHL Greatest Moments of All Time

Last one hundred years baseball has been by far the more popular sport, and hes ranked higher than ovechkin ever will be in their perspective sport.
