I was wondering about that too...doesn't seem like having the mercs there actually helped matters. But what could we have done? It would have been silly to not play them at all, we're trying to develop them over winning with the minor league team.

Yeah agree but they got hot late in the season before they were sent down.

Scorching. After that they beat up on Bridgeport and Syracuse who were the East's bottom feeders.

Glad I FORGOT about this game and was watching the NHL games. I would've been so pissed.


Only blessing is that we won't have to hear that jeannerat(sp?) clone's voice anymore.


It sucks that their season is now over because each game gave them all(at least our prospects) more development time. Now they'll be doing NOTHING until the NHL/AHL preseason begins which won't be for months.

I'm not sure Merrill and to a lesser extent Gelinas were going to gain a ton in these playoffs.

Think I preferred rolling with the numerous d-men that were with Albany most of the year.
