Can't go wrong with either, but Kluber and his team have been better over the final 2 months and will take it.

Both deserved it over Porcello last year.

Thankfully Kluber didn't get it because the Indians last 2 cy young winners were off the team by the TDL the next year. Klubot deserves it though.

Klubs for me but this reminded me that I need to get into another argument with MB re: Porcello and his amazing contract.

Porcello timeline

2014/2015 off season
Traded to Boston, signs 4 year/82.5 mil contract many people blast it, including me.
9-15, 4.92ERA 0.6 bWAR

2016
Magically transforms into an elite pitcher, wins Cy Young, BoSox fans "SEE! we told you it was a good contract... its a steal now!"
22-4 3.15 ERA 5.1 bWAR

2017
Evidently that was a miracle season that wont be repeated, Porcello returns to his old form
11-16 4.65ERA, most hits and HR allowed in MLB -0.4 bWAR

Still under contract for 2 more years.

And let's be honest. Porcello was good last year but nowhere close to spectacular. It was a very weak year for the CY and you could make some very strong arguments that everything went perfect for him and a couple of other pitchers deserved it more.

But Kluber did win one... and he's still here.
Thankfully because he has been our work horse. I feel like if he didn't havethose back issues early in the season it wouldn't be as hard of a choice.

To think Drew Pomeranz and Doug Fister would be G2 and G3 starters over Porcello and Price in a playoff series after Chris Sale.
