A note on Boycotting the NHL

To some of you this may seem common sense, for many I feel like it wont.
I, like many of you, plan on boycotting the nhl's products and refraining from "unlocking" my wallet in the near future. That being said, there's one fact I had previously been oblivious too. If it's on a store shelf, unless you're in a NHL store itself, then it has been already bought off the nhl, they've made their money, and thus buying a jersey, set of coasters, deck of cards, ect, doesn't give the NHL any money at all and your "dollar" only goes to the store owners who have ALREADY paid for product to be on their shelves.
No I don't own a sports shop, though it sounds like it, I simply feel for this small issue.
Boycotting your small sports store only hurts your community and doesn't inflict the NHL what so ever.

what do you think the store does when someone buys something? leave the shelf empty forever?

If not, how do they go about putting the product back on the shelf?
