We've got a lot of people coming to town for Knights games and we might as well send them to good places. We had our old thread where most of the links and all of the pictures died in the site migration, so it fell to the side.

Instead of throwing my ideas out there and having people add, I'll just say that we should have a thread for people visiting Las Vegas and leave it up to the crew here. What should it include?

Parking/how to get to T-Mobile (including TNC ride share pickup/drop off spot; RTC express buses)
What to do around arena before/after game. Arena restrictions (e.g., food, no-you-cant-bring-your-tablet). Food options inside arena. Other amenities.

Attending VGK practices. Autographs.

What to do in Vegas (Strip/Downtown) and valley (from Red Rock Canyon to Lake Mead). Such as the links to Smith Center, and all the casino entertainment I posted in the past couple of weeks.
Making Vegas a "starting point" for longer-than-couple-of-days vacation (e.g., heading, by car, to Grand Canyon, Death Valley, etc.).

I started to reply earlier, then stopped when I started becoming overwhelmed with all the possibilities.

There's a lot to do and see in Las Vegas!

Duh.

LadyStanley has it nailed pretty well, and I think for sure we'd want to emphasize places to stay, eat, drink and things to do convenient to T-Mobile since we know folks coming to town to see their team play will be in that area for pregame and postgame.

Might also try to include such things for varying budgets, although I know Strip prices for most everything are not economically friendly.

Coming in to see the Rangers on the first Sunday in January. We’re staying on the Strip and our preliminary itinerary includes:

In-n-Out
Lawry’s Prime Rib
STK at Cosmopolitan
Tacos El Gordo

Like most visitors we’ll be sticking around the Strip getting around by Uber and the Monotail.

Any other interesting food or drink places we should hit?

Blackout (dining in the dark) BLACKOUT – "Dining In The Dark"

Any specific interests?

Lots of Hawaiian restaurants. There's even a 24/7 Philly Cheesesteak place.
Good point, we can always dive into the Ninth Island of Hawaii stuff too. Tell people what kind of Hawaiian foods they can get at Walgreens.

I'll start working on this over the next few days, please keep coming with the ideas.

I'd also support giving food recommendations for visitors, although it's obviously presumptive and unrealistic that I'd be able to "impose" all my personal (off-Strip) food faves on people, especially if it's a sticky.

There are a ton of off-Strip places we would love to go to (Herbs and Rye, Yui Sushi, Echo and Rig) but without a car, getting to any of these places is a serious pain. I guess it would be $50 bucks round trip for an Uber but when you’re already on the Strip where basically every hotel has 4 or 5 good restaurants, why bother leaving? And I think most people coming in to see a game from out of town are in a similar position where we’re staying a few blocks from T-Mobile and in the two/three days we’re in town between gambling, drinking, and eating there’s not much time to explore. That’s the beauty of Vegas.

Haven't actually been to any, but those three are good off-Strip names. Echo and Rig is significantly farther from the Strip than the other two, but I liked their meats at a food tasting type event a few years back. Yui is really expensive omakase sushi, but that gets expensive on the Strip too if my Nobu experience was informative. If you do check on Uber prices, I would say that the Goodwich isn't far at all from the Strip and would be a very nice lunch.

We went to the home opener and I felt we planned our trip really well.

Stayed at the MGM, no car, used Uber or walked
Kiss Mini Golf at The Rio
Wax Museum at The Venetian
M&M World, Coca-Cola World, and the Hershey's Store all located right by each other
Las Vegas North Premium Outlet mall - Lids Locker Room store had better VGK selection than the Armory and I can only imagine it got better
In-N-Out, White Castle (only if you've never had it), Shake Shack right next to T-Mobile

I used to live in Henderson but being without a car, it'd be about a $50 round trip but the Feast Buffet at Sunset Station is the best buffet I've ever had.

I'd like to make a trip to City National Arena, but again, probably $50-$60 round trip with Uber.

The closest free parking to T-Mobile that I know of currently is at the Trop. Of course, that's always subject to change. I recall another poster here mentioning that the Trop may have been cracking down on folks who park there (not sure how) and then walk away from the property, but I parked there for a Knights game in October with no problem.

In the future I might park at the Trop (as long as it's still free) and walk into and through the casino in case I'm being surveilled. :)

Also, Hooters, a bit further down Trop from the Strip still has free parking AFAIK.

Miracle Mile shops at Planet Hollywood, which is a hike to the arena, supposedly still has free parking, but the parking garage closes at a certain time. Don't know what happens to your vehicle if it's left there after hours.

Confiscated and sold at auction?

I'd like to propose a "where to visit" thread tailored specifically for opposing players for night-before-game revelry: Bars, Strip Clubs, Night Clubs.
Love that idea.

I'm going to start working on this after Christmas. If you've all got something specific you've written or a specific place to add to the list, feel free to PM me or respond.

Great thread thank you. Just curious as to what pricing would be for a game an overnight stay would cost, and which hotel's do you recommend

If you are going to spend any amount of time in town, get the M Life credit card and get free parking with it. Can't use it at Monte Carlo/Park or NYNY though on game days. But you can park in Bellagio, take the free train and be a reasonable walk away from the arena from the Aria/Monte Carlo stop. I have been to 3 games and done this every time and saw a lot of other fans doing the same. Helpful to have on off nights as well.

Depends on the game. From $80 a seat to $200 a seat lower bowl, depending on opponent and weekend vs weeknight. If you are price conscious about hotel, Excalibur and Tropicana are both easy walks from T-Mobile and relatively reasonably priced. If you want more quality, Aria, Cosmopolitan, MGM, Monte Carlo, NYNY are good options in descending order of quality, with Aria and Cosmo tied. Prices range from quite high for the first two to above average for the others.

Lol, a similar thing apparently worked on Radulov back when the yotes played the preds in the playoffs, and that was just Scottsdale, not Vegas.

Coming to Vegas for the Rangers game.

Anyone know of a good indoor pool in Vegas? Wife's favorite thing in Vegas is laying by the pool but we've never came when it was cold before.

Thanks guys.
