The idea that squeezing Joe Average out of the arena to extract exorbitant prices from entities which can pay them is healthy for the long term future of the game is questionable.

The idea that you can measure someone's love for the game by the amount they can afford to spend to attend is repulsive.

Bingo! As it stands, Joe average is much better off living in a city with an AHL or Junior franchise if he wishes to see competitive, live hockey.
