Reports indicate the Rangers are making the #9 overall pick available for trade.
"We're not necessarily looking to move the pick before draft day, but we're always open to ideas toward improving the team," commented GM Sean Gaffney.
Inside sources claim that the team is looking to trade up, but would also consider trading the pick for established talent.
"The days of our team trading high picks for 'thirtysomethings' are over," said Gaffney when asked if trading the pick for an established player was a possibility, "but, we are no doubt in the market for HFNHL-ready young talent."
