This is where it gets hard. I've never seen Bayreuther and I have someone like Elie whose NHL ready. I went Elie, but I'm looking around and people are saying Bayreuther could be a top 4 man so idk at this point.

I predict Colton Point will be in the top-10 for your 2018 rankings, maybe even top-5.

He had by the far the best goalie numbers on his absolute ***** Colgate team. He outperformed the starter all season long and played a couple incredible games against highly ranked teams where he was the only bright spot for Colgate. He should've started but we had a senior who had been starting since freshman year so the coach had to respect seniority. He has great size and reach, athleticism can use some work but when he gets his technique down I think he'll be a wall.

I agree with all of this. Point is being criminally underrated by the fan base. But I wanna see what he does this year as well.

Recall some top prospect noting Point was the hardest goalie in their league to score against, so maybe a sleeper. Russu has also looked good to my eye, so maybe the Stars aren't as bad at goalie depth as we think.

It's his team now, he'll have no competition for starting goalie minutes whatsoever. He's the only remaining NHL prospect on the Colgate roster and the coach has made it clear he's the future of our program. I can report back after almost every home game this season

Criminally underrated? :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

All the players ahead of him as of now are former 1st and 2nd round picks and Bayreuther has more AHL appearances than he has NCAA ones.

Yeah, because he's a 5th rounder, and looked every bit as dominant as some of these other guys at his respective position, I'd say thats underrated.

He needs to show that in a much larger sample.

10 NCAA games means very little in terms of scouting.

Dominant? 2.45/.918 is dominant? Oettinger was 2.11/.927 over a 35 games instead up just 10.

Caamano was drafted later in that round and had 64 pts in 67 OHL games plus 3 assists in the AHL in 6 games. I feel like the NCAA goalie equivalent of his year is a little bit better than Point's. And we still have names on the board who played in the NHL.

EDIT: You didn't even vote for him, you voted for Elie!!

It's early, but Colton Point is leading the NCAA in both goaltending categories.

6 GP, 1.28 GAA, .955SV%

He's been a wall in the games I've seen. Colgate has a really weak team so it's sort of a miracle they've been winning. He's a huge boost to the program.
