Ties are broken by teams' total number of regulation wins (RW), regulation and non-shootout overtime wins (ROW), and then head-to-head if still tied. Caps were 1-2 versus Wings so that’s the tiebreaker for 8th pick.

We're 8th. DRW has one more regulation win. The 3 out of 4 pts to wrap the year didn't cost us a draft spot. But it sure united this board for a hot minute.

Honestly I have to give Ovi credit. He came out that last shift in OT knowing the Caps needed to let in a goal to ensure Detroit finished ahead, and mission accomplished. It was a smart move, it might pay off!

I think John Carlson was honestly trying his best. Too bad he's a dinosaur in the new age NHL where speed and skill are required. Ok, time for my John Carlson bashing to start booking tee times, and for Johnny to lay off the ganja and late night pizzas.

That was not bashing Ovechkin though, he did what he had to do for the best of the team, something I can understand and appreciate! I suspect many Hawks and Columbus fans feel the same.
