I'm pretty sure this just happened, or almost happened, in one of the NBA, NHL, or MLB (like, within the last 5 years)...gimme some time to see if I can remember...

I know the home team won every game in the Islanders/Leafs series in 2002.

From what I found, five road wins was the most in one series (which happened a few times) but that isn't to say that is the high number.

Others examples of the home team winning all seven games are Flyers-Rangers in 1974 and Flyers-Toronto in 1976.

Flames vs Sharks West Final 04 is close. 5 road wins with the home team winning in game 6 to win the series.

I've gone through all of the NHL playoff series results at one time or another, and I can say pretty confidently that this has never happened.

Five has happened with some regularity. Off hand, both of the Oilers first round upsets in 1997 and 1998 saw the road team win five games.

I don't recall ever seeing six, at least in the 2-2-1-1-1 format. Back around war times, arena availablity (especially if the series involved the Rangers) sometimes saw a more obscure home-away format used. Perhaps six road wins might have happened in one of those series.

Fun fact: The San Jose Sharks have been to the conference finals twice and have never won a home game in it.

If it ever happens that there are six consecutive wins by the visiting team, you can bet that the sports reporters will note that" Team A has regained the home ice advantage," though you have to wonder what that would be worth.

Not a 7 game series but a 6 game series with 5 road wins:

Montreal/NYR 1996
Pittsburgh/Washington 1996
Philly/Pittsburgh 2000
Vancouver/Detroit 2002 (give Dan Cloutier the credit)

In a 7 game series here are some with 5 road wins:

Vancouver/Calgary 1994
Vancouver/St. Louis 1995
Pittsburgh/Buffalo 2001

I think you'd have to go back to some best of 5 series in the 1970s or early 1980s if you want to find an entire series with all road wins. But a 7 gamer? Not that I've seen

It's not the NHL, obviously, but the '91 Calder Cup finals between Adirondack and St. John's went 7 with the road team winning all 7 games.

It looks like no 7 game series has all road wins, and I found no 5 game series from the 70's and 80's.

The only 3 game road sweeps I found were
75 NYI over NYR
77 Leafs over Pens (road team won in 8 of 9 Leafs playoff games that year)
79 Pens over Sabres

The 1966 Stanley Cup Final -- Montreal vs Detroit -- had four consecutive wins by the road team, and five of the six games total.
