Exactly, the Calder is pretty useless when you have a chance at the Stanley. Therefore you rest any Nhlers who need it and you give yourself the best chance you can. Rest Buff a game call up Poolman so Buff is fresher come playoff time.

Fair enough I forgot that Tampa’s record is even crazier than Nashville. But in Metro we’d be way ahead and Pacific only one win away from first.

1-3-1 - twice in the five game sets ending December 14 and 16.
2-2-1 - nine times in the 5 game sets ending: Oct 27 and 29; Dec 7, 9, 12, 17, 21, and 23; Feb 11.

I prefer to look at in true five game blocks, not a running five game segment. Then yes it was games 26-30, they went 2-2-1, the rest have been equal or over the 6 in 5 mark.

This is sooooooooooooooo much better to look at than a Tank thread or we need this team and that team to lose for a chance to make the playoffs .

Inching ever so close. Even going 2-10 Sports Club has us at a 90% of the playoffs. 4-8 puts us at 100%.

Basic math says the teams at the line currently can’t end up with more than 104 points. Jets go .500 they clinch playoffs 1000%.

Minni has a cap of 109 points, so Jets go 2-3 games over .500 they clinch second 1000%.

Jets completely control their destiny and it would take an epic collapse plus teams behind them going on an epic run to change their spot in the standings.
