QUOTES TO NOTE:

You can’t find any excuses for not going after that win. It doesn’t matter if you’re missing two guys or 10 guys.
The mentality is that you try to get the ‘W.’ Just going to have to do it tomorrow.
- Henrik Lundqvist

That’s the nature of our sport. We spent a lot of time in our zone, but we kept competing and kept trying to make the right plays.
Lost to a team that found a way to get a couple more than us.
- Ryan McDonagh

There were a couple areas that we addressed before the game that we needed to do well, our forecheck being one of them. I thought we did that, which led to some turnovers.
But give them credit, they did a good job of collapsing in front of their net and taking a lot of opportunities away.
- Alain Vigneault

I know it's back to back and Pavelec has been pretty decent but I'd go with Henrik again---in fact I'd play Henrik against Anaheim and San Jose too. The team just needs its best chance to win. Our margin of error is getting smaller and smaller.

I hope Gorton writing a list of coach candidates to Glen S. while the team is doing this road trip.

I think this road trip will be the beginning of the end for our playoff chances. These would be difficult games with a healthy lineup. Near impossible with the lineup we're putting out there.

Our forward depth is ankle deep. This lineup must be right up there with the weakest in the league now

Gaborik with a goal. It just works that way.

I'm gonna do what the players do and take a nap before the game.

Absolutely agree--Lundqvist should start the rest of the trip. Especially with "all-star" break coming up.
