QUOTES TO NOTE:

I can’t remember the last time we were sitting here talking about playing a complete game.
- Rick Nash

It was obviously a huge difference to play in goal. It’s funny how it works.
We play our best defensive game in a very long time and we score five goals.
I don’t remember the last time we scored five goals.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I thought Grabner's line played well. They were very sound defensively and they were in on a couple of chances offensively.
I'm going to keep that line together tomorrow and hopefully they'll give us a good game.
- Alain Vigneault

Gotta get these 2 with those tough 4 road games ahead. Another solid defensive effort with another 5 or 6 potted sounds about right. Have to find that defensive consistency or else this trip will be death.

Closer to last in Metro than 1st. Time to step up and really get our game together. Need Hayes back asap. Playing his best game(s) ever and boom......injured. Staal we can cover for a few games, need Hayes back though.

Team played well defensively last game...

Oh look, AV put Skjei and Shattenkirk back together!

Well, it was nice to have good D pairs for one game.

I swear, that pair is atrocious and diminishes what should be 2 of our best players. Why not keep Smith - Shatty together? They were good the other night.

Just imagine if we had ONE, just ONE generational player like Eichel, McDavid, or even a guy like Jonas Donskoi who I think may become a really good one.

Happy to see Buch had an extraordinary good game, coming off his benching. Maybe he will turn the corner now.

My brother and I are taking our dad to his first Ranger game tonight. He's been in this country 26 years lol, always got us tickets to go together but never went himself. I'm glad Hank is starting and Staal is sitting. I hope we have a good game, pops could be a goodluck charm! LGR!

I think we need to stop calling players 'generational'. It seems to get more and more watered down every time I see it used.

Talk about a club that needs better defensemen, damn. No wonder Buffalo is leaking goals. And they've got to play Risto half the game.

I like our lines, it's a miracle!

It would be good if Kreider played on the left wing on the Miller line - at least on paper, but both Miller & Zucc need to step up some levels here.
I won`t mention Vinni in that evaluation, because NHL is something new for him so no blame on him due to injuries, but Vinni should normally play on that third line in his first NHL year.

I really like the second line

I haven't actually been able to watch lately, how has Lettieri been? How was Holland? Didn't he have an assist
