QUOTES TO NOTE:

Just had a good chat with AV, and we just talked about how I wasn’t playing aggressive enough.
That’s making plays out of our zone and finding those little breakout passes, making possession plays that makes our team look fast. And then joining the rush.
- Kevin Shattenkirk

You have to face it, too. The last 15-20 games, we’re a team that’s going to battle hard to get in.
We score about two goals a game, so obviously we have to limit our mistakes to stay in games.
That’s a fact, and that’s something we have to realize.
I’m going to start with myself, work as hard as I can and try to help the team.
And we need everyone doing that to see if we can turn it around.
- Henrik Lundqvist

We’re definitely talking about our process.
We’ll analyze this game and see the areas we can improve.
- Alain Vigneault

That is a pretty scary lineup by us. Desharnais is our second line center, with Holland centering the third line and of course Buch gets to play with him. Our defense looks pathetic. We honestly have a minor league looking lineup right now.

JTM can play center. DD doesn’t need top 6 minutes and Peter Holland top 9. Luncacy. Good to see Skjei-Shatt still together.

These lines are just fill-ins. They'll have a morning skate today.
Yeah, I can try to guess some lines for this game.

Nash - Zib - Buch
Grabner - Miller - Zucc
Vesey - DD - Fast
Carey - Holland - Vinni L.

I hope Ryan Mc. is back - his minor injury was not too serious.

Ryan Mc - Shattenkirk
Skjei - Smith
Holden - Staal

- Holden need to play 3rd pair said this since we acquired him years ago.

Injuries: Hayes & Kreider

I only guessed Zib`s line, feels bad. :(
But I`m happy that Buch get top line mintues again - about time if u ask me. You need your top skilled players a chance to succeed.

I`m looking forward to see Vinni on the Miller line for sure - he is good at finish plays, some crossbar hits recently - so it`s a very interesting twist by AV this morning.

I'm a never say quit guy. I literally hate to quit. Put a brick wall in front of me and I will try to go through it but last game I quit watching in the 3rd period. I just hate watching when the team seems so disenchanted. We need 5 guys going in the same direction. Right now we have 2-3 playing against 5 too often.

First time in a while I didn't keep track tonight is a game night. And first time in a while I feel indifferent about it.
I hate missing games but honestly I didn't know we had a game today until I hopped on here. I'm really hoping we start sucking more (which sounds bad but I've been cheering on this team too long, starting to suck would actually help us) so we can land another top prospect and AV can finally get fired.

Incredible how...when things seem bleak, he puts his third best scorer on the top line, but is somehow incapable of doing that when things are not dire.

AV is friggin' bi-polar.

I believe the same thing happened before that Vegas comeback win that supposedly saved AV's job. Up to that point he was giving Desharnais more ice time/talented linemates than Hayes. Then the situation got dire and Hayes was moved back up the depth chart and DD demoted. What a strange coincidence that lead to a long winning streak and more cohesive team effort.

Well, Buch has his shot now. A nice game from him would be great to see, especially since we just got knocked off the WC

All nonsense with Buchnevich aside...those forward lines are probably the best you're going to get with this current injured roster. So...hurray on getting one thing correct.

Grabner on the 4th line!???? Just kill me now.

Oh, and just give McD another month off. He's been awful this year and obviously more hurt than we're told.

P.S. I'd have balls and put Nash on the 4th line. Switch him for Grabner.
I think Grabner-Holland-Fast should be considered the 3rd line.

IMO, Vesey-DD-Carey is the weakest line in this lineup by far.

If DD doesn't get the least amount of TOI for all centers tonight, something is wrong. He's been useless offensively for months now and defensively he's by far the worst player on the team.

Honestly, I would've been fine with DD getting scratched and keeping Boo up.

That’s the first line. Fast is on it. Must be.
