really enjoyed watching the 3rd line tonight. Getting them going, as well as the Gudas-Sanheim was almost as important as the 2 pts

5-5-5 in the last 15.

10 games without a win is obviously really bad, but it was clear that it wasn't an accurate representation of this teams real ability.

1 point out of a playoff spot.

Nice to see Sanheim finally get a goal and it was also great that the bottom six had a really strong game.
Two points, but your point is well taken regardless.

They're not playing appreciably better than they were a month ago. They just aren't doing wacky, stupid shit and making dumb mistakes that led to them losing games. Penalty killing has been holding up, and they aren't lacking focus like they were before. Only have played 4 games within the metro division, so they are primed to make a push. More importantly, Dave Hakstol is not getting fired, even though he hasn't really had anything to do with fixing anything.

Nice turn around from Elliott. In the first period it looked like he had serious money on the Sabres. Patrick sure saved him on the second give away.

Snoopy scores! Love it.

We were really fortunate to be playing a team that has a hard time burying their chances. A lot of them were of the grade "A" variety.

Elliott blew the first goal, but saved their bacon multiple times thereafter.

Giroux worked his ass off regardless of his scoresheet.

Patrick looked like an NHLer. I'd slow down saying he was great, but it was a big step.

Kudos for Sanheim for acknowledging despite his first goal, he thought it might have been his worst period of the season. He made a couple big defensive plays later.

Hagg & MacDonald both made plenty of good plays tonight that will never go acknowledged.

Filppula deserves credit for a great shot off good plays by Weal & Voracek.

Not great but good enough against a bad team. 5 in a row though!

Elliot made a couple good saves down the stretch but I have no idea how they give him third star after attempting to hand the other team two goals in the first four minutes (and succeeding on one them). Not that the stars really mean anything...

Ghost got his usual seat on the bench in the last 5 minutes. It's been a while. At least they played Gudas this time.

It looked like they went:

Giroux-Couts-Simmer
Raffl-Flipp-Voracek
Leier-Laughton-Weise

Provy-Amac
Hagg-Gudas

This will prob be the last 5 min rotation for here on out.
