TK on-ice for 18-6 attempts for, 6-0 scoring chances, 4-0 high danger chances. 2nd lowest ice time 5v5 above Leier.
Still think it's odd that it seemed he was in line for a boost, but it was Patrick who got the boost, and it wasn't justified tonight. That Konecny line buzzed all night but he wasn't rewarded, and it irks me. He plays great, gets no show of support; plays great, gets sat; plays poorly, gets sat. Combined with Hakstol having subpar communication skills, what do you even make of that as a player?
Sanheim-Gudas, not surprisingly, were very sound statistically, but got 6 minutes each less than Hagg at 5v5 and 8 min less than MacDonald, although that's a given. Was the 3rd pair prior, now is the 3rd pair again. It's the new normal.
Only this team could win -- and even play mostly well tonight -- and still piss me off because there's no change to anything they do. They'll lose 10 like this, win 4 like this, they don't care because they KNOW they're always right in their evaluating -- shutout to Flip! -- and how they play. That's still 4-10 by my math.
