***IF the Jackets make the playoffs, starting the first playoff game, everyone’s point totals will reset to 0 and it will start a new predictions standings. To make it fair to everyone, there will be a ‘discipline’ rule enforced, starting tonight. Anyone who doesn’t predict a game gets -4 points, this will serve as a first warning. If you don’t predict a 2nd game, you will be taken out of the standings. I did this because @The Bread Man missed tonight’s prediction, along with @CPTN71, @Forepar, and @hardkorejackets. So, you four, please don’t miss another game if you’re wanting to keep this competitive! It’s unfair if someone misses a game prediction (whether it’s on purpose/an accident) because that person’s point total stays put while some others (may) lose points. I can’t stress enough, please do not miss a game when it comes to predicting.

Hope you guys understand! This is only fair to everyone involved. It’s going to be a super tight race to the finish, so keep at it!

-1 is still too high for missing a goal scorer I think

There’s still more players with a point total of 0 or better than players with a negative point total. I don’t think it’s necessary to change the point deduction for missing a goal scorer. If anything, I think starting next season I will increase the point bonus for guessing a goal scorer correctly from 2 to 3. This will help decrease negative point totals. (it’s only fair to not change the point system now 3 game in). It’s very hard to guess a ‘perfect’ point system, so I put together a point system that I thought was fair. These last 14 games or so, is more so a trial run for next season.
