Accross the board 24% rollback for all players is a joke. The guy who get the shaft is the 3rd and 4th liners. As they might be lucky to have 20 % increase over the last 4 or 5 years. Now, they face 24% rollback, where the top end players, most in the top 10% of the league have had 100% increase over that same time frame. No wonder the union seems split.

Also the NHL's proposal is a joke, as there own numbers are all over the place. Not consistent at all. It seems the NHL hopes the public only reads the headlines, and not the fine print. They count on this, as the general public only has the mentality to read headlines, much like when the average Joe buys a car. Never reads the fine print. Then when something goes wrong, they say they never knew.

Keep reading the headlines, and maybe we can all dream there will be hockey this year. The bottom line, the season is done, as it is the big plan of Bettman to break the union. The war is just getting started.

Didn't one of the propositions have no rollback's for players under 900,000$?

Really I don't know.

The idea of no rollbacks $800,000 and under came from the NHL
