Unfortunately, ST Louis Blues are eliminated after a hard fought race to the POs.

Binnington almost single handedly had the team in the hunt for the playoffs. 2nd best GSAx after Hellebuck according to ClearSight, and just stole a ton of points. Thomas after him, but Binnington had a ridiculous season that probably isn't going to be recognized by many.

Binnington had a good season behind a solid defense, but individually he wasn't any better than the backup Hofer.

This is Thomas before Parayko.

Parayko is +3 and Leddy +9 despite playing huge and very difficult minutes, Torey Krug is -31 with the same goaltending.
That just points to how poor Krug is defensively. The Blues wouldn't have been close to sniffing the playoffs if they weren't getting bailed out by the goalies on an almost nightly basis.

Are you sure that the Blues have a solid defense

Leaguewide, it's around average to below average 5v5, ranked 16th in GA/GP.

PK% is 20th though.

Still, they are worse offensively. Ranked 24th in G/GP and 23rd in PP%.

One might argue Thomas is held back more by their offense than Binnington is by their defense. But I'm not sure that compensates for Binnington being a top 10 goalie in the league as opposed to Thomas, who is moreso around the top 30 in the league for forwards. Maybe a bit lower or higher than that.
