This looks pretty good.

The few adjustments I'd make:

BUF: Levi makes team over Comrie, likely starts
MTL: Dvorak off IR, Lindstrom to AHL
PIT: Guentzel off IR, Pitlick and Johnsson to AHL (Dubas has said Guentzel wont go on LTIR and they can only have a 22 man roster)
WSH: Phillips makes team, Snively and Johansen to AHL
ARI: Carcone makes team, Dermott to AHL
EDM: Pederson makes team, Lavoie to AHL
VAN: Wolanin makes team, Rathbone to AHL
Dvorak and Guentzel are gonna be available opening night? Should note my “injured/unavailable” usage doesn’t necessarily strictly mean IR in which case I would leave them if they’re gonna be unavailable.

Thanks for this!

Is Pederson looking likely to crack the Oilers? My impression of the guy having watched him last year play for Vancouver was that he needs to play with skill guys and doesn't provide much in terms of lower lineup utility.

Like for instance if Brock Boeser in all of his limited dimensional glory got hurt I'd say Lane Pederson would be the kinda cheap fill in you try and get by with in his place and leave your other lines as is.

Made some of these adjustments, left other cause have definitely seen opposing takes from fans of those teams. For example, I think Lavoie is no longer waiver exempt and I don't think the Oilers would want to risk him getting claimed over an older guy like Pederson.

Seems like the Leafs are gonna play Dylan Gambrell or Pontus Holmberg on their 4th line right? Instead of running a lineup with 7 dmen?

Hard to say - Leafs can only fit a 21 man roster under the cap so it's either 12F/7D or 13F/6D and usually teams do the former. With the Leafs specifically, I don't think they want to send Timmins down and also they ran 7D a lot last few years.

Assuming no players with a significant cap hit get a preseason injury that requires LTIR (like last year with Liljegren), Leafs will most likely trade Lafferty and trade/waive Timmins to clear enough cap to run 12/7 with Benoit, McMann and Holmberg likely making the team.

Domi-Tavares-Marner
Knies-Kampf-Jarnkrok
McMann-Holmberg-Reaves

The forward lines listed for Chicago are exactly what is being run out there at the moment.

The defensive pairings throughout camp have consistently been:

Wyatt Kaiser - Seth Jones
Kevin Korchinski - Connor Murphy
Alex Vlasic - Nikita Zaitsev
Jarrod Tinordi (rotates with Vlasic)

I think you can remove Isaak Phillips for the time being.

For the Jackets Laine is currently at center. Cole Sillinger is quicker but still ineffective, he seems especially likely to be in the AHL. Emil Bemstrom is the runaway leader in pre-season points and has drawn praise for his defense, so he's likely in the starting lineup. Justin Danforth is also a vital role player, he's probably in the starting lineup too. I won't speculate on lines, they haven't settled yet. We haven't seen Olivier and Chinakhov yet. They are both returning from injury.

On D, Nick Blankenburg has his wheels back after a broken ankle slowed him last year. He often looks like the best D on the team. But he's still waiver exempt so perhaps he'll wait. Many are speculating that Mateychuk will make the team or get 9 games, he's been terrific. But the depth and the coaches comments suggest they prefer him overripe.

Tarasov is still injured and so Spencer Martin has been claimed.

Mikheyev is in a non-contact jersey, won't be playing any pre-season games, and Tocchet wouldn't say if he will be ready for the opening night roster.

For Edmonton, I think Ben Gleason will be one of the top 7D to start the season. Not sure whether it will be Broberg or Desharnais that loses out.

But he hasn't been ruled out. I wouldn't list a player as injured unless he's been ruled out for opening night. Also Matt Irwin was sent down to the AHL already.

Happy Opening Day!

Instead of working my actual job today, I spent the whole morning sifting through Twitter to see the most recent lines used by every team and updating as necessary. There were a handful of teams that were super unclear (CBJ, FLA, NYR, OTT, PHI, TBL, SJS) so I kinda just went with what was most recent. Let me know if anything looks off.

Thanks for the work, it really does help me keep track.
