Any thoughts on Boston University’s Dylan Peterson a 3rd round blues pick progressing to the next level?
I haven't seen him play much, mostly his MVP effort in the 2022 Beanpot tourney. He has good size (6'4" 203 lbs), and in a good program @ BU after coming from the USNTDP. But considering the Blues made him a 3rd round pick in 2020, it seems unlikely to me that they have him slated for more than a solid D-man with some second-tier offensive ability at the AHL level.

The Tigers were outstanding defensively all season, posting six shutouts, the most in one season since the 2001-02 campaign (8), and allowed two goals or less in 20 games.

Colorado College upset the second seed and 7th-ranked Western Michigan in the first round of the league's playoffs, collecting the first postseason road sweep in program history, to advance to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff for just the second time.

The Tigers defeated top-seeded and third-ranked Denver, 1-0, in the semifinals of the Frozen Faceoff and the season came to an end with a loss to No. 7 St. Cloud State in the final, CC's first conference title game since 2013. ...

For ASU we will have 24 conf games per year, 6 home series and 6 away. The teams will be in 3-team pods so ASU, Denver and Colorado College will play home & home every year. The other pods will be Minn-Duluth, North Dakota and St. Cloud St., and Miami (Oh), West Mich and Omaha. We'll get one home & home, one away and one home out of each pod on a rotation.

Perfect for ASU.

This is being built in Tucson. U of A is not pursing D1 hockey, as of yet, but the arena will be ready if it happens:

Building a rink like that makes it look like they're very interested in going D-1.

It does not make it look like they're very interested in going NCAA D1 at all. I don't even know why you think it would.

Their stated intention is to use it as a money maker considering there are almost no other sheets of ice available in the surrounding area all the way up to Phoenix. They have been very vocal in the past about being able to offer a fantastic ACHA D-1 program but not even being remotely interested in adding a NCAA program. Listed reasons in the past have been lacking the ~$30M required to start the program and at least two other women's programs to offset Title IX issues. Players on the team still have to pay north of $2.5k in order to play. They haven't been linked with adding a NCAA team in the past and actively deny any links.

The main sheet only has 3,000 seats, if University of Arizona was actually planning a new NCAA D1 program they would have built one at least well into the +5,000 capacity or the capability to add that much seating, but they didn't do either. They are hardly the first school to have a hockey arena on campus built to house an ACHA M1 program and have no intention of going NCAA D1. See University of Delaware, Syracuse, Ohio, Liberty, Kent State, Iowa, URI, etc.

They are capitalizing on the high demand/low supply for ice in a large metro area, coupled with offering increased student activities which they've supported in the past which includes their club hockey programs on the men's and women's side which they have supported well but are nowhere near interested in moving up to NCAA D1. Only a moron would say the construction of this facility would make it look like they're very interested in going NCAA D1.
