Talking to Alex, sounds like it was an off-ice decision: he was searching for the right project that interested him, and a supervisor that he clicked with. He has found an aerodynamics-based mechanical engineering grad project at Waterloo that really appealed to him.

Small correction: Cordssen-David is a defenceman. Played at Shattuck St Mary's in Minnesota before a jr career that saw him play in four different provinces, five different leagues, and seven teams - including 46 games of major junior in the Q. 6'5" defenceman that can play both special teams and can move for his size.
