My notes on VGK draft. As of this post, Knights have their own 2nd round pick, Vancouver and Pittsburgh 4th round picks, Carolina and own 5th round picks, Toronto and own 6th, own 7th.

With the roster pretty much filled out and about 4 blue chippers close to ready in the system, they need to go boom / bust with the picks they have left. All in

My guess: 1/3rd near term/sure fire additions, 1/3rd longer term (perhaps some college bound) and 1/3rd hitting for the bleachers.


Do realize that the team needs to put more guys in AHL Chicago this coming season as they aren't sharing affiliation.

If my calculations are correct, VGK has 61 (own 2nd), 99 (4th from VAN via PIT), 115 (4th from PIT via TB), 135 (5th from CAR), 154 (own 5th), 180 (6th from TOR), 185 (own 6th) and 216 (own 7th).

Might get some by trading rights to UFAs who won't be back with team. And/or RFAs the team has decided to not re-sign. And/or others (with remaining term) they don't want back.

Thanks for starting this thread, LadyStanley! I'm not sure this will be the most exciting draft for us, but you never know.
