Seattle should get in instead. It all comes down to market size. And they'd be a former WAC member, like other MWC members.
Few is a West Coast guy. The only place I could see him going is Oregon. Maybe a different Pac 12 blueblood (AZ/UCLA/USC) but probably just Oregon.

Chris Mack, meanwhile, is a Ohio Valley guy

Hahaha what? The days of adding schools to "get into" markets are over. Seattle will probably be going to the WCC once Gonzaga bolts, if the WCC adds anyone at all.

The MWC is trying to add a high-quality basketball program with one foot out the door of a conference it has outgrown, great fan support and a ****-ton of money to throw around on basketball. Seattle does not meet any of those criteria; Gonzaga meets all of them. It's Wichita State to the American all over again, except the MVC is better without WSU than the WCC will be without Gonzaga.

As for Few, he has been the HC at Gonzaga since 1999. Inertia sets in after a while. He likes Spokane, and his family likes Spokane. He has had chances to go other places before and passed on them. He is a lifer at Gonzaga and will have a statue on that campus someday.
