Every year there's a mock draft done by the team boards of HF -- here are the results of 2015, 2016, and 2017. Rules are easy: just pick the player you want your team to draft based on who is still available; "trade the pick" is not an option ;)

So of that list, Jared McIsaac is the best player available, IMO.

However, we've already taken two defensemen and we do need offensive help. I'd go with one of Ty Dellandrea and Serron Noel and I'll give the edge to Noel because we're much weaker on the wing than we are down the middle.

Forward is an absolute must here after going d back-to-back. Lot of good options on the board here with Wise (my choice), Nordgren, and McLaughlin.

Didn't see Dellandrea was on the board still. It'd be between him or Wise for me.

between noel and wise for me, sandin would also be a great pick.

going with noel. he’s raw as f***, but his upside is pretty huge IMO.

This pick is awkward for me. I see about a half dozen defensemen here as being in a similar grouping with no forwards touching them.

I expected to vote for a forward, but after seeing the list, Noel is the only one I think I could get behind rolling the dice on.

I think I would of gone with McIsaac or Sandin on my own, but I'm choosing the defer to Tobbe and take Lundkvist.

It doesn't bother me that that's three RDs in the first round. We would turn a franchise weakness into a huge strength, and still with two picks nearing to grab forwards to compliment the young assets we added last year.

Chose Woo because I thought he was BPA, but Serron Noel was a very close second for me.

Went with Noel because I didn't want to go 3 Ds in the first round, but that is kind of nightmare scenario, the infamous BPA here is definitely a D.

Still Mattias Samuelsson.

But those of you who read the draft thread know I say Wise is the most underrated player in the draft, so I think that would be an excellent pick.

A few years ago wise was projected to be a top 5 pick in his draft year. Didn’t work out that way but I agree he’s very underrated and getting him at 28 could be a steal

Nils Lundkvist is the best player on this list and i don't think it's close at all.

Getting him with #26 or #28, if available, would be a very strong sign that our rebuild is starting out in the right direction. There are high scoring but flawed players available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds this year - so I am not afraid of taking two defenders in the first round.

Take Boqvist at 9th and him here. Excellent. The age difference means that Lundkvist will always be a year ahead (would not be surprised if Boqvist next year follows the trajectory of Lundkvist this past year) and it does not matter anyway because their styles are so different.

I voted for McIsaac the last round as well as this one.

I'm good with them taking 3 D prospects.

Voting Sandin but thought about Wise. Might change my mind later.

Rangers haven't taken a lefty yet, and I think Sandin is BPA. I havent seen enough of him vs Lundkvist to know why one would be ahead of the other, but yeah. Sandin
