The Devils NEED defensive prospects, so it makes a ton of sense that they don't even take he best forward available rather than a defenseman. They would probably take Merkley if they had #3

Missing out top 5 for Avs would be rough times. Don't hate Mcissac at 6, imagine Hughes and Smith will be on our radar as well. Excited to see where these 3 go.

All very different skaters with very exciting projections. I really hope the Avs luck out this year, if only so that MacKinnon can finally have a decent team around him before his prime is wasted.

I've watched Tkachuk's games and stats fairly closely over the past year and I really pity the team that takes him as high as many people project him to go. Exciting package, but that's to be expected when he is significantly older than much of his competition. Remember, this guy barely missed the 2017 draft, and I doubt he goes any higher than late teens if he was born a few days later. Should be a quality player and I think he has very, very low bust potential, but he really lacks his bro's IQ and relies far too heavily on his physical tools, which just won't cut it to be an elite player at the NHL level. I'd certainly have Dahlin, Svechnikov, Boqvist, Hughes, McIsaac, Smith, Veleno, Zadina, and several others ahead of him, and it would be a toss up between Tkachuk and guys such as McBain, Kotkaniemi, and Wahlstrom at this point, for me.

Why would Montreal take Gravel in the first round? It doesn't make any sense. We already have Price , McNiven and Lindgren. We need forwards and Defenseman

Do the Oilers now get the Blues 3rd rounder for Yak then? The Oilers would be lucky if Boqvist was still there for the plucking and would likely take him in the hopes that they have finally found a point producing #1 RD that they have long searched for.

Boqvist won't go #26. Don't see Levin and Wise being 1st rounders. Fagemo and Wernblom are not 2nd rounders.
