2017 Usports off-season Recruiting

UNB still has two players cards available after the Alexandre Goulet signing. CoachMac told me back in the late summer there were three guys who they hadn't announced as recruits that they were hoping to land at Christmas. One was obviously Goulet. I wonder who the other two are?

TJ Melancon was one, but has recently been recalled to Bellville (AHL). can't see him CIS bound, not this year anyway. Aaron Irving was another that was rumored to be heading to the Dino's, but I believe UNB had interest in him. He would be a great addition to any backend, that's for sure!
Hodgson won't be headed back to school, signed a two year AHL deal.

Cristiano DiGiacinto, Jacksonville believed headed to Acadia in January. However with Goulet and one other top ,player leaving will he be coerced to stay?

Sounds like DiGiacinto is indeed on his way to Acadia, per Victor Findlay.

Zack Malatesta/Darby Llewellyn will be staying with Atlanta ECHL

Both UPEI and St FX have only dressed 20 skaters so far from what I can tell. Although both teams have more players on their roster, some haven’t dressed yet.

Aaron Luchuk signs ELC w/ Ottawa Senators. Rumour was, if he didn’t sign pro deal, Luchuk was headed to Queens University

As per Victor Findlay, Stephen Desrocher will be heading to either McGill/Carleton or Western.

Regardless of where Desrocher ends up, he may be rental player for rest of year as he still has pro ambitions.
