How can they justify playing Stajan over Jankowski? I'm against younger guys playing on the fourth line but he's been the focal point of his team for a long time. He needs to play in the NHL.

Part of me thinks Bennett-Jankowski-Versteeg would be a scary good third line that would turn us into a very good team.

I think Kulak Stone will be a great third pair. Shut down the cycle. Move the puck. Check and check.

As others have said, the speculated pairings are all together. What I do find interesting is who is on Bennetts team. Specifically, no Brouwer. Lazar, Foo, Shinkaruk and Versteeg are.

I kind of hope Cramarossa gets a contract.

I'm also really happy to see Colby Robak here again. I hope the Flames keep him for the AHL. (He's from the same town as me!)

Isn't it usually only 2 teams in camp, even from the beginning? Don't recall too well but three seems a little different than most years.

:handclap: :yo:

Still think we should move Bennett to a wing to let Jankowski on the team. That or jettison stajan into the sun. What an awful contract.

I think we should see how Bennett does. Play Janko at 4th line center. If it doesn't work then put Bennett-Janko-Versteeg as the third line.

According to Gulutzan, #Flames RW Troy Brouwer is seven or eight pounds lighter than last season. "He is in fantastic condition."

I like all those lines, even though I suspect Stajan takes Mangiapane and we KNOW Frolik will be back on the godmode line.

I cant embed the tweet right now but you're right, Steinberg asked gulutzan and he said frolik will start there and they're just putting young guys with experienced players as a test for the young guys

I really want to see him get a chance with Bennett again. If he can increase his speed a bit, they'd be such a good fit together.

Insert any number of "Nooooooooo" gifs here.

Brouwer is a possession black hole, isn't getting faster at 30+ years old, and isn't that great on the cycle. They are a terrible fit.

I'm glad Brouwer came to camp in better shape, but he should be no where near any of our star players.

Foo is a good fit for Bennett, has speed which Bennett loves to utilize and can finish.

It is just practices right now so it matters little for grouping, but I hope Gulutzan goes back to Tkachuk with Bennett like he did last pre-season. If anyone needs to be a pair, it's those two.

He was a top nine forward on a really good team not long ago. It wouldn't be the first time a player bounced back after a bad first FA season (ie Hudler)

Camera doesn't want to participate in the practice. Just wants to watch and shoot.
