In 2018 Chase Elliott will switch car numbers from 24 to 9 and William Byron will now drive the 24 car. Basically the 24 team will now be the 9 team and the 5 team will be the 24 team.

Basically, teams can just cheat to get a win and only suffer minor consequences if they are already in the Chase.

Ted Christopher was killed in a plane crash the past weekend.

Ted Christopher, a former NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National champion, was killed Saturday afternoon in a plane crash.
The Plainville, Conn., native was 59 years old.
