In 2018 Chase Elliott will switch car numbers from 24 to 9 and William Byron will now drive the 24 car. Basically the 24 team will now be the 9 team and the 5 team will be the 24 team.

Stage 3: 164: 4-Harvick;

Harvick, Kyle Busch and Truex, Jr. have 3 of the 4 playoff slots at Homestead, Phoenix determines the 4th slot, for the remaining 5 eligibles

potential possibility that Tony Stewart could rejoin the XFINITY Series in select road course events, after the team confirms the Almirola/Smithfield tandem to the 10 in 2018.... Stewart had said no more races after 2016 as a full-time competitor.

Penultimate race and determines who joins Bell and Sauter at Homestead; 88-Crafton has now become the 3rd driver to race for a title.

the Championship 4 for the CWTS: Bell, Sauter, Crafton, & Cindric (the final race for BKR)

MENSC: Cam Am 500 pole to the Wood Brothers 21 and Ryan Blaney;

no Barney Visser (FRR Owner 77/78) SUFFERED MI attack (heart) 11/4/17, and advised not to attend the final 2 races of season even as Truex, Jr. has qualified for title chase.
