I think Bolt is only saving his energy for finals. He takes the brightest medal once again.

Don't worry, Gatlin's medal will be rescinded when it's discovered he is doping. What a shame that a known doper won.

Bolt got at least silver, Gatlin probably gets caught of doping in next 8 years. Not sure about his countryman though so no gold.

Well, not counting on most top athletes being clean, quite the opposite, but still. Why let Gatlin race anymore after getting caught twice ondoping? It's 100% clear that he doped again to be at the top, now it's just question if and when he will get caught.

It certainly seems dubious. Glad the crowd booed him. 35 is ancient for a sprinter...if he had to juice to win in his early and mid-20s, the odds of him being able to do it clean ten years later seem highly improbable.

Too bad DeGrasse got injured. Not sure what times he's been running this season, but 9.92 is slower than his PB. This would have been a very winnable a race for him I suspect.

Gatlin won fair & square - just like he did with his prior Olympic gold & silver medal performances. He hasn't failed a drug test in over 12 years and his first "doping violation" was for a freaking ADHD prescription drug. Get over it.

Wohoo, Pitkämäkin into the javelin final with his first qualifying throw. :yo: 85,97m is also his longest qualifying throw ever.

Edit: Aaand Germany's Vetter throws a 90+ meter....
