Surprised this series has been this close. Really didn't think Syracuse would be there, surprised they got by Toronto.

The Griffins D reminds me a lot of the Wings D, sadly. Out of position, and allowing their goaltender to get barraged by shots, too often. Best thing helping GR in this series is their offense for certain, definitely can't afford to have too many more 6-5 type games in this series.

Ended up being a decent series than expected. All but one game was rather close. Fans did get their money's worth. Don't always get that at this level.

Why wasn't it expected to be a decent series? Which team was the huge favorite? I'm guessing Syracuse didn't have a chance?

The Syracuse team that was they had to start the year when they were red hot was the one's in the finals. Their record didn't look as strong because they were decimated by callups and didn't get back together till Tampa's season was over. Not surprised they made it out of the East, needed a bit more discipline and timely saves to pull out the series. Don't expect them back next year because it's a retool year with a bunch of rookies coming up.
