Tied with Ottawa for worst record in the last 10 games out of the bottom 10 teams. Edmonton and Montreal can pass us with their game in hand.

Need Vancouver and Ottawa to win some games.

Since today, we won’t finish above Boston, Vegas and Winnipeg. 5 down, 25 to go.

We stopped being .500 in the traditional sense 2 months into the season. False parity from 3 point games just hides it better

In TSN's latest power rankings, their comment on Detroit revealed just how steady (in a bad way) this season has been:

The 7-Eleven Power Rankings: Predators on the hunt for Stanley

"The Red Wings have been mediocre all season long - Oct.: 6-6-1; Nov.: 4-5-4; Dec.: 5-5-2, Jan.: 5-5-1; Feb.: 6-6-1; March: 0-2-0. Anthony Mantha has 21 goals, but just one (and only point) in his last five."

That's kind of incredible, being that close to .500 all year long.

6 losses in a row. An Oilers and Canadiens win away from being bottom 5 in points.

I'm legitimately unsure if I want Ottawa to win or lose.

If you think they can pass the wings, you hope for a better first round pick than a second rounder. I dont really see the wings passing them though so they might as well keep losing unless they play Vancouver/Habs. Detroit has a couple games with Ottawa and the Habs left though which could be big for the tank

We want the best odds for winning the lottery so we need to drop below Montreal and Ottawa. Buffalo is a lost cause, I'm not confident we can catch them. If we're bottom 3 that should give us a reasonable shot at drafting a great hockey player.

Buffalo is just one point below Ottawa at this point though they have played more games. They are playing by far the best hockey of the four basement Atlantic teams though in my opinion.

I am not really sure where we will finish, we realistically could be looking at a 10 game losing streak which really helps you plummet down the standings. I have a hard time seeing us gaining any positions up though at this point, I really only see us with the possibility to trend down which is a positive thing as far as I am concerned for the future. I think we finish bottom five at this point. Worst possible draft position of 8th...

Just one more win for Mrazek to get that upgraded pick. Think that's all but a lock.

This is all I want. Let's get some luck here. Top Top2 pick pleeeease.

Yeah I was toying with creating a separate thread with rooting interests each day but this thread is sufficient. Chicago beats Boston so that gives them some separation from us which is good.

Vancouver losing to the Yotes hurts the tank, I still think the Habs will pass the wings but I also think they play 2 more times so those games will be 4 pointers and could impact it big time. I'm still holding hope they can drop past Vancouver for 4th last but I dont really think it will happen. I'm betting on them finishing 5th last if I had a gun to my head
