He had a somewhat promising rookie season (40 points in 68 AHL games) but injuries ruined his progression.

If he does well at the ECHL level, he'll likely end up back in the AHL fairly quickly.

Yeah, I think the biggest problem is that he was a weak skater when he was drafted and his knee injury (or is it injuries at this point?) made that weakness even more pronounced.
