Somewhere nice
If Jets draft top 2, overload of forward depth, hope they can swing one for a LD

If Matthews or Laine falls to the Jets , I'm good with a 3rd line of

Connor Petan Laine or
Connor Matthews PETAN

Top 2 line can play tough match up

Ehlers Schiefele Wheeler
Perrault little stafford

4th line , wow lots of players to choose

Lowry Copp Armia Dano Burmistrov is the 5

Hey castle, I'd love to see you cruNch the numbers to your method. Not the first time I've seen a suggestion about a better method from you and, would love to see a follow through ;)

Well boys lets all say a prayer, take a shot and hope for the best tomorrow.

I can't watch live but when I get home and log on I better not see a goddamn Oilers or Leafs logo on the news

is ridiculous :amazed: (in a good way)
I genuinely wonder though what they would do with Thorbs etc. in such a situation

I still see Burmistrov as an expendable depth piece that can be used to potentially trade up that 22nd pick. Burmi is not worth the 8th overall pick anymore.

22nd + Burmi? Should get a couple of spots. He's still a highly skilled player, but he needs to be able to play with other skilled players. Playing him with grinders doesn't work.

I don't think he has that kind of value at the draft. some teams in front of us probably won't even take him for free

You are severely underselling Burmistrov's ability. Having an NHL ready player like Burmi is miles better than having a prospect picked in the later half of the first round. The only reason I'm suggesting trading him is because the Jets have an abundance of depth available at that position in the bottom 6, and I view him as the most expendable and with the highest trade value.

I am not underestimating Burmi's ability. I like the player, he just doesn't have the kind of value for a team to want to lose draft position. Teams will look at his numbers and feel they can get a player of that calibre in free agency without giving up assets or draft position for him

No, not even close. He probably never was. I think he can still be useful but I doubt he has any significant trade value right now. He needs to put in a full season like the last third of last season to build value.

Definitely expendable but right now I would estimate that Burmi + 22 get you 21. If you're lucky.

That's easily a playoff team. Four solid lines. I'm sure Thorbs would still get too much ice time though.

Burke said some teams he have spoken to have Chychrun at 4, and some have "the Finnish defenseman" at 4. I guess thats Juolevi.
