So of those NCAA guys: Butcher will sign, Kerfoot will sign somewheere, Toninato might get an NHL deal...is there any chance any of the other players sign with an NHL team?

I imagine Cliff Watson will sign a pro deal.
Maybe more likely AHL than NHL, but...

Connor Clifton, the Coyotes draft pick who became an UFA today, signs an AHL deal. Additionally, he will receive an invite to Bruins camp.

So, as explained by Elliotte Friedman this morning, Blaine Byron who had lots of NHL interest, has signed an AHL deal with Springfield for this coming season. Byron didn't want to sign a 2-year deal, so he signed this AHL deal with an NHL out clause.

He'd have to sign a two year ELC next year too, so that explanation doesn't really make any sense.

Unless A) he wants a shot at the Canadian Olympic team or B) that he didn't get an offer from a team he was hoping to get one from. Or C) that the offers were not as high as he was hoping to receive.

Edit.
And even B and C do not make a ton of sense as, missing out on some money short term is likely in his best interest long term as he gets to that 2nd contract sooner. And if he's willing to consider letting FLA match any NHL offer he receives it's likely that it's not a destination issue. Which means I think he thinks he has a shot at the Canadian Olympic team and signing this deal gives him an option for that.

Don't know about (c) ELCs have fixed pay scale

I think it may be risky, unwise choice because of the benefits of nhl elc like pension, insurance, etc
