Pretty similar but I think MacKinnon is in the NHL and I really like Domi and Reinhart's chances. Drouin I can certainly see in the NHL as well, replaced by Mantha or Carrier. Same two guys could also take Rychel's spot in my line up.

Edit: I'm taking Drouin out for Mantha, I really think Drouin makes the NHL after the way he's dominating junior this year.

I really think Hockey Canada should switch its focus... get away from pushing the U21 limit and look at it as the U19s... most of the best end up in the NHL anyway... time to start using this tournament to grow kids who could use the experience

Athanasiou might have a shot with his speed and actual production now. Also everyone loves to think all the young kids will make it but that never happens. That draft year was really bad for Canadian forwards, I think Athanasiou is actually producing as much as just about anyone drafted in his year for Canadian forwards

These teams really aren't that young, the only guys who won't be drafted by the time of the tournament I see on any of these rosters are Reinhart and Ekblad (possible one-two in 2014, Reinhart will be 18 and Ekblad 17, both playing their third years of major junior) and McDavid (considered by many the best offensive prospect in a while). While the early '94s in Canada are a terrible forward group, the late '94s are stacked; Monahan, Shinkaruk, Mantha, Rychel, Carrier, etc. Athanasiou is way down the list but I suppose he is on the list of candidates.
